Casting is a manufacturing process in which a liquid material is usually poured into a mold, which contains a hollow cavity of the desired shape, and then allowed to solidify. The solidified part is also known as a casting, which is ejected or broken out of the mold to complete the process.

Welding (Anchoring):

Welding is a process that joins pieces materials, usually metals or thermoplastics together by using high heat to melt the parts together and allowing them to cool, causing fusion.

Manufacturing & Supply of Fiber Glass Work:

Fibre glass has become so popular since it can easily be molded into any shape. It is also acid resistant. Fibre glass is also used in the manufacturing of car parts. Attached in the gallery section is a precipitator made of fibre glass used in a smelter to capture the fumes which are then converted into sulfuric acid. Makhoane Enterprises has a vast experience in fibre glass handling and molding. We have carried out extensive repairs on a lot of fibre glass equipment.

Polymer Concrete Works:

Polymer concrete is a new type of concrete which does not require the use of Cement. Cement has been substituted by resin. This type of concrete is acid resistance and can be used in any acid environment. Because of the properties associated with polymer concrete, it is mostly used for making cells and materials used in copper processing. Makhoane Enterprises has vast experience in this type of concrete. The polymers are used in the concrete due to the following reasons:

Polymers improve the strength and durability of hardened concrete. The chemical resistance and the impermeability of hardened concrete is increased. The flow properties of fresh concrete can be modified based on the required specifications. Most of the popular polymers that are used are:

Urethanes: Urethanes are produced by the reaction of isocyanates with the polyols
Acrylics: These are esters of acrylic and methacrylic acids
Vinyl
Epoxies: These are type of synthetic fibers
SBR or Styrene Butadiene Resins: These are synthetic rubbers in the solution

Lead Works & Testing:

Lead is used as a corrosion barrier in most acidic areas in mines as it does not corrode. It is a special alloy used in the electronary and copper process. It is also used in areas where radioactive materials are kept and used such as X-rays. However, lead lining is not as easy as it looks. Makhoane Enterprises has very experienced lead burners who have worked for years in most mines in Zambia and outside the country in DRC. The workforce is experienced in the following types of lead burning;

Homogenous lead lining, Flat wrap lead lining, Upright lead lining and Overheard lead lining.

However, it is important to test all welds so that there are no leaks and voids. Makhoane Enterprises is able to carry out such tests.
